Prestige Loans Harvey Event 'Perfect Weather' Great Event
The South West Horse Trials Committee conducted the annual Harvey event last weekend. Harvey is normally held earlier in the year however, the going was good and the course held up very well.
The new Committee are very focused on making this a rider friendly event and received a number of positive reports from riders spectators and sponsors. The Committee made a big effort to provide a range of different prizes to riders right across the classes and not just to the winners and this was well received by riders. The Saturday night meal was a great success with the prime Harvey beef “melting in the mouth†and this combined with showing of Lexington and Badminton 2007 DVDs made for a fun evening, which was enjoyed by a large number of people. The 3 Star was won by Committee member Laurelle Hayes on Fireplay and they did very well performing consistently over all three phases. The 2 Star was dominated by Sonja Johnson winning of Parkiarrup Illicit Liaison from Tegan Lush and Anasazi with Sonja also third on Le Directeur. The 1 Star continued the good performance by the SWHt Committee members with Michael Dagostino winning on Kendlestone Park Golden from Adam Fairey on Delamerie General with another committee member Rob Vlasschaert on Maheno Lodge Laureat, third. The Senior Pre-novice was a large quality field and won by Dion Stokes on SS Playtime. The Junior Pre-novice was won by the consistent Katie McGlinn on Maestro's Daughter. The Senior Preliminary Class was also a large field and Leslie Stackhouse and Lost Treasure did an exceptional job to win, finishing on their dressage score of 55.8. The Junior Preliminary Class resulted in a well deserved victory to Charis Rich and Leap of Faith. The Senior Introductory 1 Class was again won by Dion Stokes and Gesusa Park Legality who did an outstanding dressage test of 42.6 and did not add any further penalties. The Junior Introductory 1 Class was won by Cara Wood and Ned Kelly who remained on their very good dressage score. The Senior Introductory 2 Class was won by Sarah Williams and Eldorade and the Junior Introductory 2 Class by Jacob Gliddon on Barrabadeen Jasmine. The PCAWA C Grade was won by Cindy Black and Get into the Spirit and the B Grade by Courtney Donnelly and Big Business. The Committee would like to thank the many great sponsors and particularly Prestige Home Loans and cavalletti.com.au for their ongoing support. Posted on 18 Jul 2007 by Admin

New Sponsors
We are pleased to announce that we have reached agreement with two key sponsors for the Southwest Horse Trials Harvey Event.
![]() The first is Prestige Loans who have agreed to come on board as the key naming right sponsor. Prestige Loans are strong supporters of the Western Australian equestrian industry. They have an excellent reputation in the mortgage market and can help you choose the best home loan available at the right price. They are heavily involved in the WA equestrian industry and their support is greatly appreciated. The other key new sponsor we have is cavalletti.com.au. Cavalletti has replaced its sister webpage eQbid as one of our key sponsors. ![]() The Cavalletti webpage is internationally known and is the bible for people in the West Australian equestrian industry whether it is buying, selling or just keeping up to date with who's doing what. Lou and her team have done a great job in developing the Southwest Horse Trials Club webpage and we could not have achieved it without their ongoing support. We hope to encourage a number of new sponsors to get on board and will keep you updated. Posted on 23 May 2007 by Admin
New (Intro 2) Two Foot Course
The Southwest Horse Trials Club is working towards having a new two foot course (otherwise known as introductory 2) for the event in mid July. We are hoping that this course will be a good introduction for young horses with many of the jumps being mirrored on existing jumps in the higher grades. For entry details, please see the schedule.
